Meet your host

Born in Ottawa, Canada, I found himself in an odd position growing up. As an Indian kid born in Canada’s capital, I often found it tough to develop an identity.

Progressing through the years, this lack of identity began to eat at my soul… something that has seemingly only been filled by music, particularly hip-hop.

I didn’t have a lot of confidence or happiness growing up, so rap played a pivotal role in me feeling joy or pride.

Above all, the one aspect of hip-hop I connected with the most was the sense of struggle, and unrelenting pursuing of one’s dreams.

The fact that the artform was the most personal of them all, it made me fall in love instantly.

Surely through music and a general accumulation of life experience, I grew considerably. However, fast forward to the summer of 2020, something wasn’t right but I couldn’t figure out what it actually was. I was entering my quarter-life crisis, without any understanding of where my life was going… and just like it was back when I was a child, hip-hop saved my life - I started The Rap Music Plug Podcast.

Technically, the original podcast had a wider scope and covered different kinds of music, politics, personal development, and sports. However, I quickly zeroed in on the fundamental aspect of my life that I can talk about for days on end, rap music.

Through artist interviews, in-depth reviews, and general rap commentary on what the mainstream and underground scenes have to offer, I hope that this podcast introduces you to new music that breathes some life into your world.
